Hi! My name is Sellika and I’m a literacy coach

I’m passionate about giving others the knowledge and tools they need to teach kids to read - confidently.

As a child, reading was something I enjoyed and it came easily to me. That’s why I was surprised when I started my teaching career and I found myself struggling to teach kids to read. In those early years of teaching, I realized something important - knowing how to read myself was one thing, but teaching others the art of reading was a whole different story.

I delved headfirst into the world of early literacy, determined to uncover its secrets. What I discovered completely transformed my teaching approach. English was a code waiting to be cracked. Once I understood that concept, I was able to give my students the knowledge they needed to master the language and become readers! I also saw a significant improvement in my own reading and writing.

I've made it my mission to help parents, tutors, and anyone wanting to teach a child to read, how to unlock the magic of reading for children. Nestled in the beautiful state of Utah, surrounded by my loving husband, our mischievous yet lovable cat, and our precious baby boy, I can hardly contain my excitement for the journey ahead. I look forward to sharing everything I have learned with my son, helping him along his own reading journey with the same passion and dedication that motivates me every day.
